Popular Classical Works for Your Teaching: Five Collections

64

Mt. Rushmore in the USA, the monument with the four American presidents chiseled into a mountain massif: That was the inspiration to "cube together" twelve ancient wood engravings of the really great composers in twelve variants ... completely differently and "cross-brushed".

Important for Teachers to Know!

Please be sure to read the instructions on the use of copyrighted works by the "National Association for Musical Education". You can do that with a click here within seconds. According to my evaluation, you may use them in class. However, I cannot, and I am not permitted to give any legal information and the responsibility is ultimately yours. Via the link above is your "green light" in a few words to read. So, that means? This was no legal information.

And furthermore? So, there is more? Yes. I am also not allowed to compile playlists for you for copyright reasons. This is regulated by law with the "Copyright Society of the USA" and similar associations worldwide. However, I produced the Bach collection myself. Because I am permitted to do so: If it's the addition of a work by a composer who's been dead longer than 70 years ...  plus, my own playing or producing of music, if I am not affiliated to an organization like the German GEMA. That's why "Bach" is available as MP3 ready to play. Attention: MP3 vs. PDF ... danger of confusion! In the Bach collection below, the Bach pieces are therefore not individually clickable. But ... then later ... there at "SoundCloud", they actually are then individually clickable.

And if You Are Not in the Mood to “Tinker” a Playlist?

If so, there is also the option of playing Classical Music from CDs. I found 250 offers for this and examined all of them meticulously for their "suitability": Now there are the perfect recommendations in the subject of Classic for babies, children, beginners and "advanced beginners". And yes, there is a small commission from our Partner Music Publisher, but it does not make your purchase more expensive. Plus, we immediately put it back into the spreading of our "Classic for Children Mission". Thank you for your purchase ... there. Here you'll find the eight top offers I've analyzed for you.

Five Publishing House Shops and Hundreds, if Not Thousands, of Music Gifts

Gifts for musicians and music gifts ... are not the same ... and you can get both in the Publisher's Store: There are mainly music calendars and also Bach items. In the other four shops on the internet, there are hundreds of gifts that have to do with music and tens of thousands of gifts that are not even remotely related to music. It's a great place to browse and get gift ideas. With a click here you get to these shops and offer the "Teaching Material Classical Music" directly in the Publishing House Store.

6.   My Very "Alternative" Suggestion: Feel Free to Pick Your Own Favorite Classical Hits as Well

With a click here, you get to the page with my 300 Popular Classical Works.

Please Promote Our Missions “Johann Sebastian Bach” and “Classical Music for Children and Beginners” ... Thank You for Your Support

Above, there are only six of over 100 music calendars. These are composers calendars, pipe organ calendars, one Mozart calendar, Bach calendars, one Beethoven calendar, and music calendars for children of all ages.

How to Get Your Playlists (... That Is, With the Help of Your Kids)

It takes a little effort to provide background music for your lessons because first, you have to get your Popular Classical Hits from somewhere. Unless: You offer "Bach". "Bach into your ears" works pretty simply. At the top, below the first collection, there is the note on the blue button. Click on it and off you go. It's even better with the cheapest speaker money can buy. This is especially exciting for teachers who don't want to spend too much time on the subject of "Introduction to the World of Classical Music", because this Bach music can certainly be offered twice or three times.

A bit more complex is the completely free use of cool, Popular Classical Music hits by other composers during lessons. The challenge: advertising! Not my advertising, but the one YouTube puts at the beginning of some tracks. Unfortunately, it's unpredictable when YouTube embeds these ads. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Sometimes with this piece of music, sometimes with another. You can access the works by compiling a YouTube playlist from my 300 Classical Hits or have your students compile one. Now you can "moderate" this playlist during class or have a DJane or DJ moderate it. Moderate? Yes, you have to click on the next track and there are the commercials. Maybe, just maybe!  While it is mandatory running, that is before you can stop it, the speaker has to be muted. That's why there needs to be moderation.

And why didn't I choose pieces that don't have advertising at the beginning? I did, and I even changed a lot of pieces a few times. But again and again, it was others that started with advertising anyway.

Much less complex, but not free of charge, are two other options. Put together a playlist via "Amazon Prime", "Spotify" or a similar service. To do this, ask if any of your kids' households already have such a service. In fact, it's likely that they do. Subscribing to Amazon Prime just for that would be expensive fun, but maybe you were planning on it anyway, or maybe you'll enjoy then other benefits. And no, we don't get a commission from any of the services mentioned. The third, final option is to buy the individual tracks for use forever. This can be done via "Amazon Downloads", for example.

Creating such a playlist is not complicated. Your kids can do it ... or they can help you. Or a student implements your selection. We wanted to describe it here, but this description is complicated (... just the description, not the creation of a playlist). Also, because it keeps changing on short notice. When playing the playlists (... except the one via YouTube) the moderation is then completely unnecessary. Only a speaker is worth, possibly bought with the project, and connected to it.

Kindly once again: Please also observe the copyright rules that the "Copyright Association of the USA" and similar institutions have agreed with schools on a flat-rate basis.

In Addition, Another Analog-Conservative Option: Classical Music for Children ... Is Also Classical Music for Beginners: So the Same CDs “Fit”, Even if It Doesn’t Say “For Children”

Important: These CDs above are the option if you want to make your "way into the world of Classical Music for children" a sustainable, decades-long fun project, and you want to treat yourself later with always more and more "new" and other music titles. If you just want to offer a few titles more than "my Bach collection for you", more CDs recommended by me are worth a look, starting at 5,99 €. Even if the shipping costs from Germany are more expensive than the price of the CD, it makes sense, because it's about my review of the relationship between "negative" works and "perfect" pieces that fit the overall project. With one click here you will find the best CDs and CD boxes, all listened to for you and "rated". And there you can also test listen.

The Deutsche Grammophon (... German Grammophon) has been the first Classical Music label in the whole world and still today it stands for quality. Compared to all the other CDs that call themselves "Classical Music for Children" and don't offer the greatest Classical Pieces, they actually deliver what the others promise. A tremendous price-performance ratio. On the right is a likewise more than cool offer. Not only are most Popular Classical Works gathered here in one CD offering, but most definitely it is also the very best ratio of popular, beautiful, and gorgeous as well as "negative" pieces. What's even more, each beautiful, gorgeous, and popular work costs only 9 cents. This won't happen to you with any other of the 250 CD offers. Click here to get to these CDs on a neighboring page and from there directly to our Partner Music Publisher.
